How to Upload an Image

Do you have an image you would like to use on your website but don't know how to add it? Well in this article we'll show you how to upload an image to the WEO Platform. For placing an image, see the article on How to Place an Image on a Webpage. 

1. First, prepare your image for upload. The platform will only accept image files with dashes (-) between characters. If you have blank spaces between characters, the platform will automatically insert dashes to fill the blank spaces. If you have have an image file from a camera, such as 20210816_111553.jpeg, it is recommended that you rename the image file based on what the image is. In our example case, the image is of a patient in an operatory chair after a cleaning, so we'll rename it Patient-After-Regular-Cleaning.jpg.

*Important Note:* The User Client Interface of the WEO Platform will only accept image files up to 5mb. If you have a larger file, you can reach the Client Experience Team to add and place the photo for you. 

2. Login to the WEO Platform. If you've already logged in and navigated away from the Main Page, navigate back to the Main Page.

3. From the Main Page, select the Website icon button.

4. The View & Edit Website page will load. Scroll down to the Images section and click the Upload New Image button. 

5. The Upload Client Image page will load. You can either click on the Choose File button next to "Image File to Upload:" and select an image on your machine or you can drag and drop the image file onto the Choose File button. You do not need to worry about the Image Information section. After you have chosen a file and it is ready for upload, the name of the file will display next to the Choose File button.

6. To upload the image file to the Platform, scroll down and click the Upload Image button.

7. A successful image upload will display in black lettering next to "Filename:". If there was an error with the file name, it will display in red lettering.

8. That's it, you can use your image in the Platform, so make sure to keep the file name handy somewhere. For how to place the image see the article How to Place an Image on a Webpage.

9. If you have another image file to upload, click on the Upload Another Image File button. If not, you can navigate back to the Main Page to continue working in the Platform.
